In Black and White

This research neglects color by using white and black in order to focus on what is essential, because these two colors are robust and unequivocal.  Their essences awaken positive and negative sides with all their contradictions since they uncover a range of gray shades whose ambivalences are not always easily understood nor accepted.
Is it here, in these two extremes, that we humans struggle: black stained of white and white stained of black. Both colors are sincere, epitomize the absence of artifice and decoration, and create an illusion where you can see nothing but shadows, contrasts and lights.

En aquesta recerca es deixa de costat el color, utilitzant el blanc i el negre amb l’objectiu de no apartar-se d’allò que és fonamental perquè els dos colors són inequívocs i rotunds. La seva essencialitat dóna lloc a un positiu i un negatiu, amb totes les contradiccions que aquests dos colors impliquen perquè destapen un ventall de matisos grisos i ambivalències que no sempre són fàcils d’entendre o acceptar.
És aquí, en aquests dos extrems en els quals lluita l’ésser humà: blancs tacats de negre i negres tacats de blanc. Ambdós colors són sincers, són l’absència d’artificis i de decoració, un miratge on el que es veu no és més que sombres, contrastos i llums.
