Margaux Lange at Luke and Eloy




Ja fa temps que admiro l’obra de la Margaux Lange i penso que utilitzar la Barbie com a únic tema per fer joies és un repte molt difícil. No caure en la banalitat i reflexionar sobre les relacions humanes és el que sap fer la Margaux amb aquesta icona de gran impacte social. D’altra banda m’agrada molt seguir en el seu blog “Midge’s Mind” l’evolució del seu treball i les seves experiències. Fins el dia 16 de gener es pot visitar la seva exposició individual “Wearable Nostalgia: Deconstructing Barbie & Ken” a la galeria Luke and Eloy.

For some time I have admired the work of Margaux Lange. I think her use of Barbie as the only material to make jewels is a very difficult challenge. Margaux knows how not to fall into banality and to reflect human relationships with this icon of such great social impact. On the other hand, I really like to follow via her blog “Midge’s Mind” the evolution of her work and experiences. You can visit her solo exhibition “Wearable Nostalgia: Deconstructing Barbie & Ken” until January 16th at Luke and Eloy.
